About DAME
DAME is a British period care brand started by Celia Pool and Alec Mills. It first made its name in 2018 with a reusable tampon applicator, and has since grown into a full range of organic cotton tampons and pads, period pants, washable pads and a menstrual cup.
The focus is on cutting single-use plastic and avoiding synthetic materials. Tampons and pads are made from organic cotton, the company is a certified B Corp and its products are certified vegan. There is also a tampon subscription for UK customers that arrives through the letterbox and can be skipped or cancelled at any time.
As well as selling to individuals, DAME supplies period product dispensers to workplaces, schools and sports venues. The business trades as DAME through Sanitary Owl Ltd, a company registered in England with its office in Norwich, and ships to more than 100 countries from its UK website.
