Dental Decks is a study aid for dental students preparing for the Integrated National Board Dental Examination (INBDE), the US licensing exam. The brand has been around for more than 30 years and is published by Oakstone, part of Ebix, based in Johns Creek, Georgia.
The main product, Dental Decks INBDE, has more than 2,700 question-and-answer cards organised into 16 colour-coded study areas, a case studies booklet with 36 cases and 183 questions, an oral pathology booklet with 95 photos and radiographs, and three online 500-question practice tests modelled on the exam. It comes as 6 or 12 months of online access, or 12 months of online access plus the printed cards, with prices from $429 to $599. A mobile app is listed as coming soon, and the site has free 45-day and 60-day study schedules and sample cards.
If you buy an online product and fail your boards at the first attempt, Dental Decks will refund the purchase price once you send proof of purchase and your official score; the guarantee doesn't apply to print-only purchases. Group sales are available for schools. It's aimed at students sitting the US exam, so it's of limited use to UK dental students.
