Ways to save at Diamonds Resorts
- In the Maldives, book at least 6 nights on the official website to get free return seaplane transfers at Diamonds Athuruga or Diamonds Thudufushi, which can be a big chunk of the cost.
- Book 14 days or more ahead for the advance purchase rates, but check whether you've picked a flexible or non-refundable version.
- Check what your all-inclusive plan covers: spa treatments, diving, excursions and imported drinks are usually extra.
- Kenya and Zanzibar resorts list stay-longer deals from 3 nights, so compare a 3-night and a 7-night quote before booking.
- Prices are in US dollars, so pay with a card that doesn't charge foreign transaction fees.

About Diamonds Resorts
Diamonds Resorts is the upmarket all-inclusive brand of the Planhotel Hospitality Group, a hotel management company founded in Lugano, Switzerland, in 1997. Planhotel runs resorts around the Indian Ocean and mixes local tradition with an Italian style of service. Alongside Diamonds it runs the Sandies Resorts & Hotels brand and the Exploreans camps and lodges in Kenya and Tanzania.
There are six Diamonds resorts. In the Maldives, Diamonds Athuruga and Diamonds Thudufushi are island resorts in South Ari Atoll, around 20 to 35 minutes from Malé by seaplane, with beach villas and overwater villas and suites. On Zanzibar, Diamonds Mapenzi Beach is on Kiwengwa Beach and Diamonds Bijoux is a 154-room beachfront resort at Bweiju on the southeast coast. In Kenya there's Diamonds Malindi on the north coast and Diamonds Leisure Beach & Golf Resort on Diani Beach south of Mombasa.
Most stays are all inclusive, which typically covers meals at the main restaurants, soft drinks, house wine and local beer, snacks and daily entertainment, while spa treatments, diving, excursions and premium drinks cost extra. The official website takes bookings directly, with prices in US dollars, and runs direct-booking offers such as free seaplane transfers on longer Maldives stays, advance-purchase savings and multi-resort packages. Flights aren't included, so you'll need to arrange those separately.
