Lightning Fibre is a full fibre broadband provider based in Eastbourne, East Sussex. It builds and runs its own fibre-to-the-premises network, so the fibre runs all the way into your home rather than switching to old copper phone lines at a street cabinet. The business dates back to 2018 and today trades through LF Holdco2 Ltd, with a retail unit at the Enterprise Centre by Eastbourne station.
Home packages run from 150Mbps to 2.5Gbps with matching upload and download speeds, unlimited data, a router with parental controls and no landline needed. Prices are fixed for the contract with no annual rises, and free installation is included on 24-month plans. There are also 12-month and one-month rolling options, a Lightning Voice internet phone service, a £15 social tariff for people on some benefits, and business broadband up to 10Gbps.
Coverage is local: Eastbourne and Polegate, Hastings and St Leonards, Hailsham, Heathfield and Broad Oak, and Tenterden, with more areas being built. You check your address with the postcode checker before you order. Its customer service team is based in Sussex and answers calls every day from 8am to 8pm.
