Playful Promises is a London lingerie brand founded in 2004 by Emma Parker. It is run by women and made its name with bold, design-led lingerie in a wide size range, particularly fuller-bust sizes from D to K cups. Today the site is operated by Avant-Garde Brands (London) Ltd, trading as Playful Promises, with warehouses in the UK and Australia.
The shop covers bras (plunge, balconette, non-wired and retro), knickers, lingerie sets, bodies, suspenders and hosiery, plus swimwear and beachwear. It says it makes over 80 bra sizes and stocks more than 90, along with UK dress sizes 8 to 26. As well as its own label, it sells sister and partner brands such as Wolf & Whistle, Peek & Beau swimwear, Deja Day and Bettie Page Lingerie. Most own-brand bras cost around £36 to £48, and there is an outlet with reduced lines.
