Playful Promises is a London lingerie brand founded in 2004 by Emma Parker and still run by women. It built its name on colourful, design-led lingerie in a much wider size range than most high street shops, and fuller busts are its speciality: many bras go up to H cups on bands up to 46. It says it makes over 80 bra sizes and stocks more than 90, plus UK dress sizes 8 to 26.

It suits D+ shoppers who are tired of plain, beige options, and anyone after retro-inspired pieces or swimwear that is built like a proper bra. As well as its own label, the site sells sister and partner brands including Wolf & Whistle, Peek & Beau swimwear, Deja Day and Bettie Page Lingerie.

The Ramona plunge bra is one of the brand's core shapes and comes in 13 colours, from leopard print to neon pink. If you prefer embroidery, the Thea Blue Baroque D+ Bra is currently reduced to £39. For holidays, the Peek & Beau cherry-print bikini top is cut for fuller busts, from 6D/DD to 18E/F.

Delivery in the UK costs £3.75 for Evri standard (three to five working days) or £4.95 for next working day with Evri or DPD, if you order before the Monday to Thursday cut-off. Orders are usually dispatched within one or two working days, though it can take longer during sales. The site also ships to Europe and further afield, showing prices in your local currency, and recommends separate stores for shoppers in the USA and Australia.
