Every Rentcars deal here comes from Rentcars itself or its official affiliate programme, never copied from another voucher site. When you shop through our links, Rentcars may pay us a commission. It never changes your price. We give 50% of that commission to the charity, club or school you choose, at no extra cost to you.
Rentcars is an online car hire marketplace founded in Brazil in 2009. Its terms name Rentcars Ltda., based in Curitiba, and Rentcars BV in Amsterdam as the companies behind the site, and it describes itself as the largest online car rental platform in Latin America. The English (UK) version of the site shows prices in pounds.
Rather than owning cars, Rentcars acts as a booking intermediary. You search a pick-up place and dates, then compare rates and conditions from more than 300 hire companies, from big names such as Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, Sixt, Avis and Budget to local firms. It covers more than 40,000 pick-up points in over 160 countries, with airport pages for the UK, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Greece, the USA and more, and offers one-way hire to a different drop-off.
Depending on the rate, you either pay Rentcars upfront or pay the rental company at the desk. The Rent Rewards scheme pays up to 10% cashback into a wallet for future Rentcars bookings once your rental is confirmed. There is also a Rentcars app for iPhone and Android and a deals page listing current promotions from individual hire companies. Read the conditions carefully: Rentcars can keep up to 20% of a prepaid booking if you cancel, where the law allows.
| Delivery | Online booking with a choice of paying upfront to Rentcars or paying the rental company at pick-up, depending on the rate. One-way hire to a different drop-off location is available. |

| Returns | Cancellations of prepaid bookings may be charged up to 20% of the booking value where the law allows (or the rental company's fee if higher). Pay-at-pick-up bookings are refunded by the rental company. |
| Price match | The app page says Rentcars refunds the difference if you find a lower rate after booking. |

| Loyalty scheme | Rent Rewards pays up to 10% cashback into a Rentcars wallet once the hire company confirms your rental (usually 40 to 70 days); credit can cover up to 30% of a later prepaid booking and lasts 18 months. |
| App | Rentcars app for iOS and Android for searching, booking and managing hires. |
| Ways to pay | Prepaid bookings accept credit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay and PayPal; pay-at-pick-up rates are paid to the hire company. |
