About Retouch4me
Retouch4me makes AI-powered retouching tools for photographers, retouchers and videographers. The team behind it started out with the 3D LUT Creator colour-grading app in 2013, and Retouch4me grew out of that in 2019. It is run by RELU OÜ, a company registered in Tallinn, Estonia, and says it trains its AI models in-house on its own datasets rather than on customers' photos.
The range splits into two ways of working. Local plugins such as Heal, Dodge&Burn, Clean Backdrop, Fabric and the Eyes Bundle are bought once with a perpetual licence and run on your own computer inside Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One, Affinity Photo and video editors. Cloud tools such as Apex, an all-in-one retouching plugin with real-time preview, and Arams, which culls and batch-processes whole shoots, run on credits that come with the yearly subscriptions.
It suits portrait, wedding, school, event and e-commerce photographers who spend hours on routine skin, background and clothing fixes. Prices on the site are in US dollars, with plugins from $145 each and subscriptions from $169 a year. You can download free demos, and new accounts get 20 free cloud retouching credits to try Apex.
