ShieldMy Wedding is the wedding insurance brand of ShieldMy Insurance Services Ltd, a London insurance broker registered in February 2025 with its office at 3 Lloyd's Avenue. It is an Appointed Representative of City Insurance Brokers Ltd, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (reference 831252). Policies are underwritten by TMHCC Specialty Group, a trading name of HCC International Insurance Company plc, part of the Tokio Marine HCC group. Claims are handled by Reactive Claims Ltd.
There are three levels of cover. Silver covers cancellation and cutting short of the wedding up to £50,000, supplier financial failure up to £10,000, couple's personal liability and a free legal helpline. Gold raises cancellation cover to £100,000 and adds ceremonial attire, photography and video, flowers and cake, wedding cars and personal accident. Platinum goes up to £150,000 with higher limits and lower excesses. Optional add-ons include guests' liability (often asked for by venues), marquee, rings, gifts, cover for payments made more than 90 days before buying, and excess waiver on Gold and Platinum.
It covers one ceremony and one reception in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man, bought between 24 months and one month before the date, and at least one of the couple must live in the UK. Prices are by online quote. Read the IPID and policy wording for exclusions before you buy.
