About Skirting World
Skirting World is a Birmingham manufacturer of skirting boards and interior trims, set up in 2011 when few online retailers sold skirting. It started in a small workshop with one moulding machine and around seven staff, and now has more than 40 people, a factory with moulders, a beam saw and automatic spray lines, and a fleet of over 20 delivery vehicles.
Most products are machined to order from moisture-resistant MDF, with a growing range in pine. You choose the profile, height, thickness, length and finish (primed, undercoated and other options), and there are more than 100 designs, from ogee and torus to modern square-edge styles. Every skirting board has a matching architrave. The range also covers skirting board covers that fit over old skirting, dado and picture rails, panel moulding and wall panelling kits, window boards, door frames, internal doors and accessories, plus a bespoke service for matching period mouldings.
Prices are shown both including and excluding VAT. Standard delivery is free over £75 excluding VAT on most postcodes, and over 98% of orders arrive on Skirting World's own vans. MDF products come with a 25-year 'lifetime' guarantee, and you can order up to five free samples before you commit.
