About Squiggle Consult
Squiggle Consult is an estate planning company based near Ashford in Kent. It writes Wills, sets up trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney, and offers probate and estate administration through its sister company, Squiggle Probate Ltd. Consultants meet clients at home or over Zoom, talk through their circumstances, then send draft documents to approve before a signing meeting.
Each service has a fixed fee, confirmed in writing after the consultation. A Will for one person starts at £295 including VAT, and clients who choose paid services typically spend between £500 and £2,500 in total. Some people can get a complimentary standard Will, without trusts, through their employer, a charity or a Squiggle partner. If a trust-based Will suits them better, the value of the free Will is taken off the price. LegacyGuard, an aftercare plan with document storage and updates, costs from £4 a month.
Will writing is not a regulated activity in England and Wales, and Squiggle is not a firm of solicitors. Its team are members of bodies such as the Society of Will Writers, and work only solicitors can do goes to the regulated firms it names. The company is a certified B Corp.
