About Susan Caplan
Susan Caplan is a London jewellery business that buys, restores and sells vintage costume jewellery. Its founder grew up in a family of antique dealers with shops in Camden Passage, and she launched the business in 2008. The pieces have been sold through museum shops such as the V&A and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, as well as online retailers including Net-a-Porter.
The stock spans earrings, necklaces, bracelets, brooches and cuffs from the 1950s onwards, from designer houses including Chanel, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Monet, Trifari and Elizabeth Taylor's jewellery line. Most items are one-offs, so a product page often shows only one left. There is also a 'Rediscovered by Susan Caplan' range of unbranded vintage pieces, a faux pearl selection, gift cards and an outlet section. Every piece is checked for authenticity and condition before it goes on sale.
Prices are in pounds, and international orders include taxes and duties. UK standard delivery costs £4.99, or is free on orders over £200, and next-day delivery is free over £400. Unworn items can be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund, exchange or credit note, but post earrings can't be returned for hygiene reasons.
