About Virgin Experience Days
Virgin Experience Days sells experience gifts, from afternoon teas and spa days to driving, flying, stadium tours, theatre trips and short breaks. It lists more than 5,000 experiences across the UK, and most come as vouchers that the recipient books directly with the experience provider on a date that suits them.
The business started in 1988 as Acorne Experiences, focused on track days and flying, and joined the Virgin family in 2002. It is based in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, and trades online rather than through shops. A US operation followed in 2021, and the company supports Thames Hospice as a long-standing charity partner.
E-vouchers arrive by email, usually within an hour, and most vouchers are valid for 12 months. Exchanges are free, extensions of six or 12 months can be bought, and unused vouchers can usually be refunded within 30 days of purchase.
