About Yakwax
Yakwax is a surf and skate shop on Portinfer Coast Road in Vale, on the west coast of Guernsey. It was founded in April 2002 by Rob, a local surfer, and is run by surfers and skaters. Alongside the shop it runs a large online store that ships to the UK and worldwide.
The range covers wetsuits for men, women, kids and toddlers in summer and winter thicknesses, along with boots, gloves and hoods. There are new and second-hand surfboards, bodyboards and SUPs, plus surf accessories such as fins, leashes, wax and changing robes from Dryrobe. On the skate side there are decks, trucks, wheels and complete skateboards. It also sells snowboard outerwear and streetwear and footwear from brands including Vans, Volcom, Brixton, Dakine, Globe and Xcel.
Orders placed before 2pm on a weekday go out the same day. UK standard delivery is free on orders of £95 or more, and paid next-day and express options are available. Unused items can be returned within 30 days, with an extended Christmas returns window for December orders. Guernsey customers can order online and collect free from the shop, which opens Monday to Saturday.
