The Greggs app is a more dependable place to start than searching for a generic bakery voucher code. It combines product-category stamps, account rewards and Click + Collect. A regular customer may get a free item without buying anything extra just to trigger a discount.
Nine stamps, then a free tenth item
Greggs says that when you collect nine stamps in a qualifying rewards category, the tenth item in that same category can be free. The categories matter: buying nine items across unrelated categories does not mean any tenth product is automatically free. Scan your app on qualifying purchases or follow the eligible Click + Collect process to make sure the stamps are counted.
Welcome reward and birthday treat
The official Greggs app page advertises a free hot or iced drink for eligible new sign-ups, subject to offer terms. It also describes a free sweet treat added to your wallet each year on your birthday. Make sure your account details are correct, look for the reward in the app and check its expiry and product restrictions before visiting.
Practical ways to save
- Open your wallet before reaching the till and activate any reward according to the app instructions.
- Always scan on eligible purchases so you do not miss progress towards a free item.
- Check stamps by category rather than looking only at a total count.
- Use Click + Collect when convenient, but compare the same basket and any minimum order conditions.
- Only buy the item you want; a free tenth pastry is not a saving if you bought nine unnecessary ones to get it.
Student or NHS vouchers?
Greggs occasionally runs targeted promotions, including student offers, but dates and redemption rules change. Avoid treating an expired Student Beans code as a permanent discount. Look at the current Greggs Offers page, the app and the official terms before relying on any promotion.
Can I use more than one reward?
The app and promotion terms decide which rewards can be redeemed together, what counts towards stamps and when rewards expire. If something does not show in your wallet, ask before paying rather than assuming a cashier can apply it retrospectively.
