Nando's is one of the clearer restaurant chains when it comes to an official NHS discount, but the headline percentage has a cap. Its student offers are different: the brand’s student page currently says that a 20% student promotion is not live. Here is how to separate those two from everyday rewards.
NHS discount: 20%, but capped at £4
Nando's says eligible NHS staff can get 20% off one order a day, calculated on up to £20 of order value. That makes the maximum discount £4, even if your order costs more. NHS customers activate online eligibility with a valid NHS email address; the discount applies to eligible eat-in or click-and-collect orders placed through the app. It is not a general delivery voucher.
Emergency services and military eligibility
Eligible Police, Fire, Ambulance Service and Military (MOD) staff can show official photo identification at the till for qualifying eat-in or walk-in collection orders. Nando's explicitly says it does not accept the Blue Light Card, Defence Privilege Card or third-party membership cards as proof for this offer. Always check the official page before your visit.
Is there a Nando’s student discount?
The official student-discount page currently says the advertised 20% student discount is not live. Students can register interest in future offers there. Avoid pages claiming a permanent nationwide 20% student code without checking Nando's current announcement.
Use Nando’s Rewards as well
- Join the official rewards programme and identify your account on qualifying orders.
- Check your app for rewards earned and redemption conditions.
- Read the terms for any combination of a reward with an NHS or other discount.
- Compare the menu for what you actually want; adding extras merely to collect rewards is rarely a saving.
What is the best option?
For an eligible NHS customer spending £20 or more on a qualifying order, the discount has a straightforward £4 maximum value. For anyone else, current rewards and menu choices matter more than searching for an unverified code. Delivery platform prices and fees may differ from direct collection.
