Anchor & Crew is a jewellery brand from Derby that has made its name with rope, leather and anchor bracelets. Everything is handcrafted to order in Great Britain by its own team rather than mass-produced, and the metals are recycled: .925 sterling silver and 9ct gold, both hallmarked, with no plating over cheaper metal. It has a flagship shop on Sadler Gate in Derby and sells online to customers in more than 85 countries.
It suits anyone after a bracelet that will last, whether for themselves or as a present. Most designs are unisex, prices start around £30 for a slim stacking bracelet, and the bigger silver and gold pieces are proper investment buys. Every order comes in a fabric pouch with a one-year warranty, and anything over £50 also arrives in a collectable tin, which helps if it's a gift.
The materials are a big part of the appeal. The rope is hand-wound, navy-grade marine rope, the leather is genuine hide, the stones are natural, and the silver and gold are solid rather than coated, so there is no plating to wear off. Rope and leather bracelets are one size and adjust with a sliding knot, while chains come in four lengths and bangles such as the Haden come in one size that can be gently adjusted. In-stock UK orders placed before 4pm go out the same working day by Royal Mail Recorded, which is free over £20.

The Ocean Blue Windsor Silver and Rope Bracelet at £60 is the classic starting point: marine-grade rope with a solid silver hook, one size and adjustable with a sliding knot. If you like to layer, the SKINNY range is built for it, from £30 stone and macrame bracelets like the Blue Dumortierite Ralph up to fine silver chains. Chain bracelets come in four lengths (17cm to 23cm), and the 9ct gold LUXE pieces take an extra 7-10 working days to make.
