Brigit's Bakery was founded in London in 2014 by Cedric Bloch, who wanted to combine his French heritage with a British afternoon tea. The company is best known for its afternoon tea bus tours. On these, you eat sandwiches, cakes and scones on a vintage Routemaster for about 90 minutes while the bus passes central London landmarks. It also runs a bakery in Chandos Place, Covent Garden, open daily from 10am to 7pm.
The tours work for families, visitors to London and birthday or hen groups. Peppa Pig and PAW Patrol tours take children from age 2, and most other tours from age 5. Every menu comes in traditional, halal, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free versions, with a £3 supplement for vegan and gluten-free. Brigit's can't cater for nut allergies.
One Routemaster has been converted with a ramp, which the company describes as the first of its kind on a 1960 classic bus. It has room for a wheelchair user secured at a table, but it isn't bookable online, so phone or use the contact form. Buses, a party room and even a Thames boat can also be hired for private events.

The Classic Afternoon Tea Bus Tour runs daily from Victoria Coach Station, from £45 for adults and £37 for children. For the festive season, the Grinchmas tour runs from 15 November 2026 to 31 January 2027 from Northumberland Avenue, and every guest gets a Grinch travel cup to keep.

How to save more
- Compare departure times. Prices change by date, time and seat, so check a few slots before booking. VIP front-row tables cost more.
- Get the date right. Bookings are non-refundable. Changing costs £10 per person if the tour is more than two weeks away, but £22.50 within two weeks, and there's a £5.50 booking fee per table.
- Pre-order drinks. No alcohol is sold on board, so add prosecco when you book. ID is checked under Challenge 25.
