Your Co-op Broadband & Mobile is the telecoms side of a member-owned co-operative, and it now trades as BroadbandCoop and MobileCoop under the new OurCoop name. OurCoop was formed by Central Co-op, The Midcounties Co-operative and Chelmsford Star Co-op, and the same family runs food stores, travel agents and EnergyCoop. Rather than paying shareholders, it reinvests in members and local communities.
It suits people who want straightforward broadband or a SIM-only deal with a UK-based call centre, fixed prices and a bit of ethical reassurance. Broadband prices don't rise during your contract, there's no setup fee and you get a free router. All its broadband and mobile services are carbon neutral through its climate partner Ecologi.
