Delune is a small, independent beauty brand that began in a London flat that, in its founder's words, always smelled faintly of lavender. The first big order, from a small subscription service in 2017, was packed by hand at the dining table. The founder has lived in Dubai since 2020 and still runs the brand, which now has local stores for the UK, Europe, North America, Asia Pacific and the Gulf. The UK site prices everything in pounds.

It suits anyone who uses essential oils in a diffuser, bath or home-made blends and wants to know what's in the bottle. Delune says every batch goes through its own PristiQuant testing for species, purity and oxidation, and it publishes safety data sheets and fragrance allergen details on the site. Essential oils are for aromatic and external use, and need diluting before they go anywhere near skin.

Beyond the oils there's a growing beauty range: Super Vitamin C brightening oils in four strengths, serum boosters, hydrosols and clays, a short makeup line, eau de parfums, reed diffusers and room sprays, plus gua sha tools and nail wraps. What's worth a look

The oils start at £9 for 10ml (lemon, sweet orange and rosemary) and most popular ones also come in a 30ml bottle, which works out cheaper per ml: Bulgarian lavender is £15 for 10ml or £34 for 30ml. On the skincare side, the Super Vitamin C Brightening Oil comes in 7%, 10%, 20% and 30% strengths, from £25 to £78.

How to save more

• If you use an oil often, the 30ml bottle costs noticeably less per ml than three 10ml bottles.
• Combine a couple of oils with a gua sha or lipstick to clear £50 and skip the £4.95 delivery charge.
• Choose shades and strengths carefully: Delune only takes back unopened items, and it charges a 50% restocking fee on returns that aren't faulty unless the law says otherwise.
