Fragrance.com Europe is the European shop of FragranceNet.com, the American perfume retailer that has been selling online since 1997. The European site opened in 2019 and ships from a distribution centre in Dordrecht in the Netherlands to the UK and most of the EU. Set it to United Kingdom and pounds and you see sterling prices, which the site says already include duties and taxes.

It lists more than 10,000 products. Perfume is the main event, from designer houses such as Lancôme, Dolce & Gabbana, Paco Rabanne and Jo Malone to Middle Eastern names like Armaf and Swiss Arabian, and there's skincare, make-up, haircare and home fragrance too. It suits anyone who already knows which scent they want and is happy to wait a few days for delivery from the Continent.

What's worth a look

Here are six products from the bestseller and deals pages, with the prices shown when we checked.

Lancôme Ô de Lancôme is a fresh citrus and floral eau de toilette in a big 125ml bottle at £52, and it carries the second-item discount. If you like richer, woodier scents, Armaf Club de Nuit Intense is listed at £46 for a 200ml bottle.

The ranges go well beyond the big designer names. Skincare covers brands such as Elemis, Clarins, Babor, Sisley and Skeyndor, with cleansers, serums, day and night creams and sun care, while the make-up pages include Chanel, Dior, Estée Lauder and Pupa. There's haircare from Olaplex, Wella, L'Oréal and Sebastian, plus candles, fragrance sticks and car scents from the likes of Jo Malone and Rituals. Gift sets and mini perfume sets have their own sections, which helps if you're shopping for someone else.

Many products in the Pair Deals section carry a "2nd item -20%" badge, so buying two qualifying items takes 20% off the second. The 3+1 Free section works on a buy four, pay for three basis, on selected perfumes, haircare from Sebastian and make-up from Pupa among others. Delivery is free on orders over £63, and orders placed before 8pm are shipped the same day.

Fragrance.com says its discount codes are sent by email only, so the newsletter is the way to get them.

How to save more

• Check the badges before you add to basket. Pairing two "2nd item -20%" products, such as a perfume and a skincare cream, can get you past the £63 free delivery threshold and take 20% off the second item.
• Compare bottle sizes. Several perfumes come in two or three sizes, and the larger bottle is often better value per millilitre.
• Think before you open. Returns are accepted within 30 days, but only for unopened, unused items, and you pay the return postage unless the item is faulty or wrong.
