Didriksons began in 1913, when Julius and Hanna Didrikson started making oiled waterproof workwear for fishermen in Grundsund on Sweden's west coast. More than a century later the Borås-based brand still does one thing above all: clothes that keep you dry and warm when the weather turns.

It suits anyone who walks to work or school in the rain, dog walkers, and parents who need kids' rainwear that survives puddles and playgrounds. Most of the range is outerwear: waterproof and windproof parkas, light padded jackets for in-between weather, 3-in-1 jackets that zip apart, and fleece and full-zip layers to go underneath. Newer pieces use EcoLactam, a material Didriksons is introducing as a lower-impact option, and many kids' jackets have reflective details for darker school runs.
