About Didriksons
Didriksons is a Swedish outerwear brand with more than a century behind it. In 1913 Julius and Hanna Didrikson started making oiled waterproof workwear for fishermen in Grundsund, on Sweden's west coast, after both had lost relatives who were poorly protected at sea. The company is now based in Borås and calls itself one of Scandinavia's leading jacket brands.
The range is almost all about staying dry and warm: waterproof and windproof parkas and jackets for women and men, 3-in-1 jackets with removable padded layers, lighter padded jackets for in-between seasons, and a large kids' range. Its children's rain sets are made from Galon, a PVC-free waterproof material with welded seams, and many kids' jackets have an 'extend size' feature so sleeves can be lengthened as children grow. Newer pieces use EcoLactam, a material Didriksons is promoting as a lower-impact option.
The UK store prices everything in pounds and ships from Sweden, with taxes and duties included in the price, so there's nothing extra to pay on delivery. Royal Mail delivery costs £3, returns are free if you use the supplied return label, and you can sign up to the newsletter for 10% off. Payment is handled by Klarna, including a pay-later-in-30-days option.
