Ensana runs spa hotels in some of central and eastern Europe's best-known spa towns, including Mariánské Lázně (Marienbad) in the Czech Republic, Budapest, Hévíz and Sárvár in Hungary, Piešťany in Slovakia and Sovata in Romania. It grew out of the spa side of Hungary's Danubius group, and many of its hotels have welcomed guests for generations, in grand buildings next to thermal springs and lakes.

It suits anyone who wants a slower break built around pools, saunas and massages, from a weekend in Budapest to a week in Hévíz. Several hotels are family-friendly, and the all-inclusive Thermal Aqua has children's pools and activities. Prices on the site are in euros and are per person per night, so double them for two people sharing. The prices below were shown on 19 October 2026.

What's worth a look

Here are six hotels and packages from across the group.

For a city break, Grand Margaret Island is a turn-of-the-century hotel on Budapest's leafy Margaret Island, with Danube views and a covered walkway to the spa next door. For something grander, Nové Lázně in Marienbad is a five-star Neo-Renaissance building facing the town's park, and it's one of the largest buildings in Marienbad.

Hévíz is the place to go for a longer stay. Thermal Hévíz is a few minutes' walk from Lake Hévíz, a natural thermal lake, and has indoor and outdoor thermal pools, a leisure pool and a sauna area, plus a programme of hotel activities. Thermal Aqua is also a short walk from the lake and is the one to choose if you want food and drink included.

How to save more

• Join Ensana Life before booking. It's free, gives member discounts on direct bookings and hotel services, and opens up quarterly flash sales. Bookings through travel agents don't qualify.
• Stay longer for a lower nightly rate. Many of the best deals, such as the Hévíz autumn offers, need a minimum of three or four nights.
• Check the cancellation rules for your country. At the Slovak hotels, for example, wellness stays must be cancelled at least 72 hours before arrival to avoid a 30% charge.
