Keen Gardener is an independent garden retailer based just outside Stratford-upon-Avon. It started in 2002 as CMS Gardens, took on the Keen Gardener name in 2007, and today sells thousands of products from around 90 brands, from Forest Garden, Shire and Rowlinson sheds to Palram-Canopia greenhouses, Napoleon and Kamado Joe barbecues and Wave hot tubs.

It's a good place to look if you're planning a bigger garden job: a new shed or summerhouse, a log store before winter, a greenhouse for next spring, or somewhere to hide the wheelie bins. Most orders go straight from the supplier's warehouse, so delivery times and charges are shown on each product page and at checkout once you enter your postcode. Plenty of items are delivered free, but large or heavy pieces to the Highlands, islands or Northern Ireland can cost more or be restricted.

The showroom, office and warehouse are all on one site at Langley Barn, and you can ring the team on 0345 0346 570, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, if you want advice on sizes, bases or assembly before you order. Klarna is offered at checkout for spreading the cost of bigger buys such as a summerhouse or hot tub.

How to save more

• Keen Gardener's lowest price policy will try to match a lower price on an identical, in-stock product from another retailer, with delivery costs taken into account.
• Put items in the basket and enter your postcode before you decide: delivery depends on where you live, and the site notes that two lighter orders can sometimes cost less to send than one heavy one.
• Sign up for the offer emails on the homepage to hear about price cuts first.
