Sheet Story is a London bedding brand that started in August 2020 with a simple pitch: choose your bedding the way you choose your clothes. So alongside crisp white there are sage checkerboards, stripes, dove grey and blush, sold as separate pieces you can mix or as ready-made bundles. It suits people who sleep hot, because most of the range is bamboo, and anyone with a deep mattress, as the fitted sheets have pockets up to 41cm.
The main collection, Ackly Bamboo, is 65% bamboo and 35% long-staple cotton in a 400 thread count sateen weave. Ella is 100% cotton sateen, Bella is a brushed cotton flannelette for colder nights, and Loomshire is a premium bamboo line. The bedding is OEKO-TEX certified, sizes run from cot bed to emperor, and orders ship from a London warehouse, usually arriving in one to three working days.

The waterproof mattress protector is worth adding if you're buying new sheets anyway: it's breathable, has deep sides and goes in the washing machine.
A note on sizes: as well as the usual single, double, king and super king, many pieces come in small double, cot bed and emperor, and the shop has a UK size guide if you're unsure. If something you want has sold out, the team will email you when it's back in stock if you ask.
