Unseen Footwear is a British trainer brand built on a simple idea: premium sneakers without big logos. It launched in 2019 with a preview at Paris Fashion Week, and its trainers have since been stocked by Selfridges, Liberty, Browns and Flannels, and by Printemps in Paris. Branding is kept to a tonal stamp on the tongue and heel and a small reflective flash at the back. If you want smart, clean trainers that work with tailoring as well as jeans, it's worth knowing about.

The brand has recently been rebuilt with a new design team and factory. Today's line-up includes the leather Marais, the court-inspired Halkett, the Regent, the Runa and the technical Clarn, along with the new running-inspired Train from the Innovate Series. Colours stay muted: whites, greys, navies, beiges and blacks. Many styles come in sizes for both men and women.

The brand's roots are in Civitanova, an Italian shoemaking region where its early collections were finished. It now works with specialist makers in Italy, Portugal, Asia and elsewhere in Europe, and offers some made-to-order production in family-owned Portuguese workshops to cut waste. Expect Italian leathers and suedes, hand-finished details and soles developed with specialist partners. UK orders are tracked, and orders placed after midday from Friday to Sunday are sent on Monday. Unseen also ships worldwide, though overseas buyers pay any import duties.

The Train is the newest shape, made in suede, leather and mesh with a moulded eye stay, at £135. If you want a classic white trainer, the Marais White/White has an all-leather upper for the same price. The Archive Sale has earlier styles reduced to £79.
