DR Electrical: a family-run Leicester appliance shop since 1971

Shopping at DR Electrical? See all current DR Electrical discount codes and deals, checked regularly.

DR Electrical began in 1971, when engineer Leonardo De Rienzo started repairing the new automatic washing machines around Leicester. More than 50 years later it is still family-run, now as an appliance retailer with a large showroom next to Syston station and free customer parking.

It suits people in Leicestershire and the East Midlands who want an independent shop that delivers, installs and takes away the old machine. It also delivers across the UK if you are further afield. Brands run from Beko, Indesit, Hotpoint and Haier to Bosch, Siemens and Neff, with budget options from names like Schönhaus, Cata and Fridgemaster.

The range covers laundry (washing machines, tumble dryers and washer dryers), refrigeration from undercounter fridges to American-style fridge freezers and wine coolers, and dishwashers. For cooking there are cookers, built-in ovens, hobs, hoods, range cookers and microwaves, plus air fryers, vacuums, fans and air purifiers. Around Leicester the team also offers installation and removal of your old appliance, repairs and a kitchen design service, and some appliances can be rented rather than bought. Finance is available through Snap Finance, with DR Electrical acting as a credit broker.

Current offers

We don't have any DR Electrical codes in our own list yet. On its offers page:

• Appliance bundles and multi-buys, with the savings shown on product and checkout pages. Bundles can't be combined with other promotions or price matches.
• Free click and collect from the Leicester showroom, usually within 2 to 5 working days.
• A price match: if you spot an appliance you bought cheaper elsewhere, the team will look into it and may give you a coupon for the difference. Other retailers' sale and clearance prices don't count.

How to save more

• Check your postcode against the local delivery list. Within about 25 miles of the showroom, next-day single-person delivery is £12, compared with £59 for nationwide courier delivery.
• If you are kitting out a whole kitchen, compare the bundle price with buying items separately, and ask for a bundle quote through the site.
• Landlords and contractors can look at the trade membership, which gives access to trade pricing.
