About Asda Travel Insurance
Asda Travel Insurance is sold under the Asda Money name, the financial services side of the supermarket chain Asda, which is based in Leeds. Asda doesn't insure you itself: the policies are arranged through InsureandGo, administered by Insure & Go Insurance Services and underwritten by Zurich Insurance, with emergency help abroad from Zurich Assist around the clock.
You can choose single-trip or annual multi-trip cover for the UK, Europe or worldwide (with or without the USA, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean), at three levels. Value covers medical expenses up to £20 million, missing bags up to £1,000 and cancellation up to £1,000; Premium raises those to £25 million, £1,300 and £2,000; and Superior offers unlimited medical cover, £2,000 for bags and £5,000 for cancellation. Optional extras include winter sports, cruise and gadget cover. There's no upper age limit, all pre-existing medical conditions are considered when you declare them, and up to three children go free per insured adult when you buy direct.
Asda Money says its travel insurance has won Gold for Best Travel Insurance Provider in the Moneynet awards every year from 2022 to 2026. Policies are bought online or by phone, and there's a 14-day cooling-off period if the cover isn't right for you and you haven't travelled or claimed. If you pay with an Asda Money credit card you can also earn Asda Pounds.
