AutoAid Breakdown is a UK breakdown cover brand run by Right Choice Insurance Brokers Limited (RCIB), an insurance broker based in Romford, Essex, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. RCIB also owns the sister brands Auto National Rescue, which offers vehicle-based cover, and Euro Rescue for driving in Europe.
What makes AutoAid different is that the policy covers the person, not a named vehicle. A member is covered in whatever eligible car, van, motorbike or classic they are legally driving in the UK, which suits households with more than one vehicle or people who often borrow a car. Cover includes roadside assistance around the clock, home start, unlimited call-outs, recovery to any one UK destination for the vehicle and up to five passengers, overnight accommodation if a repair can't be done the same day, and help after theft or vandalism. A legal partner can be added for an extra cost.
At checkout the price was £66.14 a year or £6.99 a month. Standard cover applies to vehicles up to 15 years old, and older vehicles can be added as an upgrade. For vehicles 10 years old or more, the member pays the first £25 of the call-out cost. Breakdowns can be reported by phone or through the free AutoAid app.
