About Charles Bentley
Charles Bentley is a family business based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, that has been trading since 1860 and is now run by its sixth generation. It started out making brushes, and brooms are still part of the range today, including the Charnwood and Bulldozer lines and a recycled Re.Think range.
The website now covers much more than sweeping. You'll find garden furniture such as bistro sets, benches, hammocks and swing chairs, plus parasols, gazebos, sheds, water butts and planters. For outdoor cooking there are gas, charcoal and kamado BBQs under the Ottimo name, along with fire pits, chimineas and patio heaters from the Snug range. Indoors, there are kitchen bins, small appliances, fireside sets, log baskets, footstools, mirrors and clocks, and a DIY section with cement mixers, sack trucks and decorating tools.
Standard delivery is free to most UK postcodes, with surcharges for the Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland. Large items come on a pallet with a kerbside drop, so someone needs to be in to sign. Most unused items can be sent back within 60 days, though you pay return postage unless the item is faulty. Payment options include cards, PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
