Electric-fireplace.co.uk is the UK shop of a Danish fireplace retailer started in Aalborg in 2010 by brothers Casper W. Lanng and Christoffer L. Mortensen. It began online only, opened showrooms in Aalborg and Copenhagen, and added a showroom in Greenwich, London, in autumn 2022. The UK business is Bioethanol-Fireplace Limited, and the group now trades in 14 countries.
The range runs to more than 1,000 models: wall-mounted and floating electric fires, freestanding electric stoves, mantel suites, built-in inserts in one-, two- and three-sided designs, media-wall fires sized from 40 to 85 inches, and water vapour (Opti-myst) fires that make a flame effect from mist and LED light. Brands include Dimplex, British Fires, Glow Fire, Planika, Faber, Napoleon, Westbo of Sweden, TAGU and the house brand ScandiFlames, plus spare parts and decorative log sets.
UK mainland delivery is free on orders over £99, otherwise £9, and most in-stock orders placed before 3pm leave the same day. You can visit the Greenwich showroom by appointment, book a video demonstration, or ask the team for a price match if you find the same fireplace cheaper elsewhere. Trade customers can open a business account.
