Kasai Grills makes table-top Japanese konro grills: long, narrow charcoal barbecues lined with heat-holding mineral tiles, built for skewers, yakitori and high-heat searing. The name means "fire" in Japanese. The grills are made in Britain from stainless steel and were developed with Michelin-starred chefs, with Tommy Banks of The Black Swan at Oldstead as brand ambassador. The business is run by Gastronomy Plus Ltd from Central Barn on Hornby Road, near Lancaster.
The range runs from the portable Nano Konro at £299 to the XL at £799, with Little, Medium Wide, Medium Long and Long sizes in between, plus signed Tommy Banks editions and grill-and-plancha bundles. Accessories include stainless steel skewers and racks, the EPTO skewer attachment, solid and 50/50 planchas, searing grates, a robata rack, heat mats, carry cases, gloves and an apron. There is also Japanese Sumi Bincho charcoal, birch lumpwood charcoal, wood wool firelighters, e-gift cards and a masterclass.

Unwanted items can be returned within 30 days of delivery, which is longer than the legal 14-day cooling-off period, and the grills carry a one-year warranty. Klarna is offered at checkout.
