About Katanamart
Katanamart is a European martial arts retailer that started in 2010 alongside the YariNoHanzo brand, launching first in Spain in 2012 and later adding shops for Germany, France, Italy, Poland and the UK. The UK site is run by Katanamart Ltd, registered in Romford, Essex, and it's the exclusive UK distributor of YariNoHanzo swords. Orders ship from a UK warehouse, while items not stocked here are transferred from the company's central European warehouse at no extra cost.
The catalogue covers sharp katanas (shinken) for cutting practice, unsharpened iaito for iaido, wakizashi, tanto and daisho sets, plus handmade bokken, jo and naginata in beech, ash and other woods. There are training uniforms and hakama for aikido, iaido, karate, judo, kendo and ninjutsu, tabi socks, sword bags and maintenance kits. Many lines are made to order and show a pre-order delivery month.
Katanamart says its catalogue is checked against current UK law, including the rules that came in during 2025. You must be 18 or over to buy a sword, a birth date is required on your account, and UPS checks age on delivery. Swords must never be carried in a public place without lawful reason.
