About Kinship

Kinship is an online marketplace run by Kinship JP Ltd, a company that gives its address as Ginza in Tokyo. Its about page says it was set up as an online store in 2022 after its Tokyo shop closed during the pandemic. It sells new designer clothing, footwear, bags and accessories from brands such as Loro Piana, The Row, Maison Margiela, Arc'teryx, Canada Goose, Celine and Goyard.

Kinship says it doesn't hold all its stock itself. Pieces come from a network of partner retailers, mainly in Japan, and the contract of sale is with the partner that supplies the item. Every order is sent from an inspection hub in Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong, where Kinship says items are checked by a third-party authenticator and its own team. It doesn't name its partners or authenticators.

Prices are shown in US dollars by default, but you can switch to pounds and several other currencies. Shipping is free over $300 and costs $25 below that, by FedEx, DHL or UPS, with an estimated five to ten working days, and duties and taxes are prepaid so there is nothing to pay on delivery. Change-of-mind returns are accepted within 14 days, but you pay the return postage to Hong Kong. As with any overseas seller, check the delivery and returns terms carefully before you order.
