Ways to save at Lidl
- Scan the Lidl Plus app at every shop. Pick of the Week prices on fruit, veg and meat only apply to Lidl Plus members.
- Check the Middle of Lidl page on Wednesday evening, because new non-food ranges land on Thursdays and Sundays and don't usually come back.
- Watch the app for Extra Points campaigns (2x, 3x or even 10x points on selected items) and Booster Points targets.
- Keep your receipt for non-food specials. You get 30 days to change your mind and 12 months if something is faulty.

About Lidl
Lidl's roots go back to 1930, when Josef Schwarz became a partner in a fruit wholesaler in Heilbronn, Germany. It's now part of the Schwarz Group, and it opened its first UK store in 1994. The British business, Lidl Great Britain Limited, has its head office at Lidl House in Surbiton, and Wikipedia lists more than 1,000 stores across England, Scotland and Wales.
The weekly shop is the main draw: fruit and veg, fresh meat, an in-store bakery, wine chosen with Master of Wine Richard Bampfield, and the premium Deluxe range. Lidl doesn't run an online grocery shop in Britain. Its product pages show what's in stores and when, and items are marked as in-store only. Middle of Lidl is the non-food aisle, with new ranges every Thursday and Sunday from its own brands such as Silvercrest kitchen appliances, Crivit outdoor and sports kit, Livarno homeware and Parkside tools. Once they're gone, they're gone.
The free Lidl Plus app is how you get Lidl's member prices. Pick of the Week offers on fruit, veg, meat and poultry change every Thursday, you collect one point per £1 to swap for coupons, and the app can also take payment through Lidl Pay and hold digital receipts.
