About Má + Lin
Má + Lin is a small womenswear label that works almost entirely in linen. Its name joins the Chinese and French words for linen, and it was started in London in 2021 by Yue Jiang, a fashion buyer who had worked in Paris and London. The range centres on French-inspired blouses, including the Peter Pan-collared Claudine and the cropped Frances, alongside Maya trousers, Olivia shorts, the Daisy shirt dress and a linen-wool blazer.
Pieces are made in Portugal from European linen certified under Masters of Linen, often using Belgian linen, and are produced in limited numbers rather than to a seasonal calendar. The brand publishes details of its supply chain and runs collaborations with artists, such as embroidered blouses designed with Laetitia Rouget and with Sshepaints. A monogram service lets you add initials, a name or a date to a garment.
UK delivery is by Royal Mail, at £5 for standard or £8 for express, and free on orders over £200. The shop also ships to Europe, North America, Australia and beyond. Returns are accepted within 14 days for unworn items with tags attached, and exchanges within the UK are free.
