About Modmo
Modmo is an electric bike brand that sells only through its own website. It describes a team with headquarters in Ireland and a research and development centre in Vietnam, which is where its Saigon bikes get their name. Since 2023 it has been under new ownership, and the shop is now run by Hadebu Ltd, with a contact address in County Antrim.
There are two models. The Saigon S is a lighter commuter bike, around 17kg in size medium, with a battery range of about 75km. The Saigon+ is heavier, with an enviolo hub gear and a range of up to 120km. Both have five power levels and assistance up to 25km/h. UK shoppers see prices in pounds; at the time of writing the Saigon S was £1,295.95 in size large and the Saigon+ was out of stock.
Shipping is free, and Modmo says UK and EU orders arrive with no added duties or tax. It offers a 15-day, 100km trial with free collection if the bike isn't right, a five-year warranty on the frame and fork, and peer-to-peer test rides in London and Dublin. Parts of the site, such as the accessories pages, have not been updated for some time.
