About Parallels
Parallels is a software company best known for Parallels Desktop, an app that lets Mac owners run Windows, Linux and other operating systems alongside macOS on both Intel and Apple silicon Macs. It also makes Parallels Toolbox, a bundle of more than 50 small utilities for Mac and Windows, and a range of business products for delivering apps and desktops remotely, including Parallels RAS and Parallels DaaS.
The business grew out of SWsoft, a server software firm, and Parallels Desktop for Mac first appeared in 2006. Corel bought Parallels in 2018, and in February 2026 Parallels was separated from Corel and remains owned by the investment firm KKR. The company is registered as Parallels International GmbH in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
UK buyers see prices in pounds on the UK site. Parallels Desktop comes in Standard, Pro and Business editions: Standard is available as an annual subscription or a one-off licence, while Pro and Business are subscription only. There is a free trial, a 30-day money-back guarantee on direct purchases, and a 50% education discount on Pro for verified students, educators and parents.

How to use a Parallels voucher code
- Tap Get code on the offer you want. We copy the code for you and open Parallels in a new tab.
- Check the offer's Terms first: some codes need a minimum spend, are for new customers only, or exclude sale items.
- Add what you want to your basket on parallels.com, or in the Parallels app if the code is app-only.
- Go to the checkout and choose your delivery option.
- Paste the code into the discount code or promo code box and apply it. Check the discount shows in your order total before you pay.
- Didn't work? Tap Didn't work? under the code so we can recheck it, and read why codes fail.
Ways to save at Parallels
- Try Parallels Desktop free before you buy to check your Windows apps run well on your Mac.
- If you are a student, educator or parent, verify your status to get 50% off the Pro Edition.
- Owners of an older one-off licence can upgrade at a reduced price rather than buying a new licence.
- Decide whether you need the subscription (with ongoing updates) or a one-off Standard licence before checking out.
- UK government, nonprofit and charity employees can verify their work email for discounted pricing.
