About Phones Direct

Phones Direct is an online shop selling refurbished smartphones, mainly Apple iPhones and Samsung Galaxy models, plus a smaller range of brand new phones and accessories such as chargers, cables, cases and screen protectors. It is run by Webuyanyphone Limited, a company registered in England and Wales in December 2012, and is based in Whiteley near Fareham in Hampshire.

Every phone is sold unlocked and SIM-free, so it works on any network. Refurbished handsets are tested with Phonecheck software, which the shop describes as a 40-point check, then data-wiped and graded by cosmetic condition. All devices come with a 12-month limited warranty, and the shop adds 30 days of free insurance against theft, loss and damage, subject to the insurer's terms.

Delivery is by DPD. Orders over £100 go free and smaller orders cost £4.99; in-stock phones ordered before 2pm on a weekday are dispatched the same day. Refurbished phones can be returned within 30 days for a refund if they come back in the same condition, while new phones follow a 14-day cancellation period with a restocking fee of up to 10% if opened.
