About Scribendi
Scribendi is an online editing and proofreading company founded in 1997 in Chatham, Ontario, where it is still based. Its name comes from the Latin phrase cacoethes scribendi, "the insatiable urge to write". In 2023 it was bought by Edanz, a Japanese researcher and author services company, and both are part of M3 Inc.
The service is split by who is writing. Students can send essays and admissions essays for proofreading or editing; academics get academic proofreading, dissertation and thesis editing, scientific editing and a Publication Success Package that supports a manuscript until a journal accepts it; authors can order book editing, proofreading, critiques and query packages; and businesses can have reports, websites and blogs checked. There are English-as-a-second-language versions of most services, and edits work to APA, Chicago, Harvard and other style guides.
Pricing is worked out from two things: the word count and how quickly you want the document back, from a couple of hours for short pieces up to a week for long ones. You upload a file or type a word count into the instant quote tool, which can show the price in British pounds. Scribendi says it works with over 400 native English editors, many with master's degrees or PhDs, and it offers a free sample edit on many services.

How to use a Scribendi voucher code
- Tap Get code on the offer you want. We copy the code for you and open Scribendi in a new tab.
- Check the offer's Terms first: some codes need a minimum spend, are for new customers only, or exclude sale items.
- Add what you want to your basket on scribendi.com.
- Go to the checkout and choose your delivery option.
- Paste the code into the discount code or promo code box and apply it. Check the discount shows in your order total before you pay.
- Didn't work? Tap Didn't work? under the code so we can recheck it, and read why codes fail.
Ways to save at Scribendi
- Choose a longer turnaround if you can wait: the quote drops automatically for 48-hour or one-week delivery compared with faster options.
- Order on a weekday rather than at the weekend, as the quote tool applies a lower off-peak price.
- Students should use the 10% student code on the Student Discount page for essay and admissions essay services.
- Ask for a free sample edit first to see an editor's style before paying for a long document.
- Switch the quote currency to British Pounds so you know the exact amount before checkout.

Call +1 877 351 1626. Or use the help centre on the Scribendi website.
Can I use more than one Scribendi discount code?
Usually not: most stores, including Scribendi, accept one discount code per order. Automatic deals and sale prices can often be combined with a code, so check the terms on each offer.
Does Scribendi offer a first-order discount?
We don't have a first-order code for Scribendi right now. Sign up for alerts and we'll email you if one lands.
Can I use a Scribendi discount code on sale items?
It depends on the code. Many discount codes exclude items that are already reduced, so open Terms on the code before you use it.
Can I combine the Scribendi student discount with other offers?
Usually not with another discount code, as most stores take one code per order. Student discount often still applies to sale prices and alongside free-delivery deals, so check the terms of the student offer.
Why didn't my Scribendi code work?
Most codes exclude gift cards and items already reduced, and some need a minimum spend or are for new customers only. Open Terms on the code, or tap "Didn't work?" and we'll recheck it.

How do I use a Scribendi discount code?
