About Toothfairy
Toothfairy is a UK dental technology company, trading as Tooth Fairy Healthcare Ltd, that was set up and is run by dentists. Its shop sells the Wand, a rechargeable sonic toothbrush that comes with a detachable camera. You clip the camera on every few months, take pictures of your teeth through the Toothfairy app, and the company's licensed dentists review them.
The Wand costs £95 on its own. Most buyers pair it with a membership, which posts a new brush head every three months, includes app check-ins with a dentist and lets you send used heads back for recycling. Six-month and twelve-month plans are available. A 12-month bundle with the brush is £118.88 and currently comes with a free travel case and wall magnet. Brush-head plans are also sold separately.
The brush has five cleaning modes, three power levels and charges by USB-C, with a battery that Toothfairy says lasts up to about 45 days. Toothfairy says the service doesn't replace an in-person dental examination, so keep up your usual dental visits. Speak to your GP or pharmacist if you have any concerns about your health.
