Alpy Transfers is a Swiss coach and minibus company, registered in Geneva as Alpybus Sàrl, that gets skiers and summer visitors from the airport to the mountains. Most journeys start at Geneva Airport, with some from Lyon, and run to resorts across the French, Swiss and Italian Alps. It suits anyone flying out for a ski week who would rather not hire a car and drive mountain roads in the snow, from solo travellers on a budget to families and big groups. Prices are shown in euros for most French resorts and in Swiss francs for some private Swiss routes.

There are three main ways to travel. The Express Line is the cheapest shared option, running to a fixed timetable with a handful of stops for Chamonix, Morzine, Val Thorens and Tignes. The shared door-to-door service drops you at your accommodation in resorts including Chamonix, Morzine, Les Gets and Megève. Private transfers run around the clock to almost anywhere in the Alps, with a Premium upgrade in a Mercedes. The fleet runs from 7-seat Mercedes Vitos and 13-seat Renault Masters up to full-size coaches, and winter vehicles run on snow tyres with chains.

What's worth a look

Here are some of the routes and trips on the Alpy Transfers site, with the lead-in prices shown on each page.

The Chamonix run is the shortest of the big routes at about an hour and a half from Geneva, and shared seats start from €9.90 on its page. Further afield, Val Thorens takes about three and a half hours. Shared transfers there run Thursday to Monday to fixed timetables, and private transfers run all week. If you have a spare day in Geneva, the private excursions are worth a look: the Gruyères day trip visits the Cailler chocolate factory and La Maison du Gruyère cheese dairy before free time in the medieval town.

Current offers

We don't have any codes for Alpy Transfers at the moment. The homepage lists lead-in fares on its most popular routes, including Geneva to Chamonix from €9.90, Geneva to Morzine and Les Gets from €14.99, Geneva to Megève from €39.50, and Lyon to Val Thorens from €49.99. There is a promotional code box on the booking form, so it's worth checking our Alpy Transfers page before you book in case a code turns up.

How to save more

  • Choose the Express Line if your plans are fixed. It's the cheapest shared fare, but tickets can't be changed or refunded, so go for door-to-door or private if your flights might move.
  • Declare your skis, snowboard, bike or extra bags when you book. Adding a first ski bag in the booking process costs €4, but it's €10 to add one later through customer service, and €25 for luggage that wasn't declared.
  • For a group, compare a private transfer with buying shared seats. Children pay a full seat price on shared services, so for a family or a group of friends one private vehicle can work out at a similar cost and takes you straight to the door.
