Bloom Magic: sending flowers to Ireland, same day in Dublin

Bloom Magic is an online florist that delivers across Ireland. Its florists make up hatbox arrangements, hand-tied bouquets, baskets and vase designs, and it also handles corporate and event flowers. This is the Irish site, so prices are in euros and next-day delivery covers all 32 counties on the island of Ireland.

For UK readers it's most useful when you're sending flowers to family or friends in Ireland: a birthday in Cork, a thank-you in Galway, or a last-minute gesture in Dublin, where it can deliver the same day and on Sundays.

What's worth a look

A spread of sizes and styles, from a simple bouquet to a large luxury hatbox.

Hatboxes are the shop's trademark. Blush Rêverie mixes pink oriental lilies, white roses, gerberas and eucalyptus in a petit hatbox for €49, while the Rosé Étoile at €199 is the showpiece of the range. Many designs come in standard, large and extra large sizes, so check the size you've picked before you pay.

The range is split into collections. The Signature Collection covers seasonal designs in a hatbox, vase or basket alongside hand-tied bouquets, the Atelier Collection is the more upmarket line, and there are gift sets and add-ons if you want to send something extra with the flowers. Delivery runs Monday to Saturday across the country and seven days a week in Dublin, where you can also pay for a morning or afternoon slot or express delivery within three hours. Flowers come with a seven-day freshness guarantee if the care instructions are followed. If there's a problem with freshness, damage or quality, tell Bloom Magic within four days of delivery and send photos, and it may offer a replacement, redelivery or refund. Changes and cancellations need 48 hours' notice, or 72 hours at peak times such as Valentine's Day.

Current offers

We don't have any Bloom Magic codes in our list. Its own Timeless Offers page groups reduced arrangements and ones with a free extra, and Bloom Magic says these change regularly. When we checked, Pastel Amour was €49 instead of €64, and selected hatboxes and vases came with a free upgrade or chocolates.

How to save more

• Standard delivery is €8.95 both in Dublin and nationwide. Only pay €15.95 for a morning or afternoon slot if the timing really matters.
• Paying from a UK card? Prices are in euros, so use a card without foreign transaction fees if you have one.
• Sending to a home with a cat or dog? Some stems aren't pet-safe, and Bloom Magic says it can make a pet-safe version on request.
