GlueTech: glue guns, craft kit and budget tools from Manchester

GlueTech started out doing one thing, selling hot glue guns and glue sticks, and that's still the heart of the shop. It's a small business trading from Prestwich in Greater Manchester, which began selling in 2022 and buys direct from manufacturers. Over time it has added the kit crafters and DIYers tend to reach for next: glue melting pots, soldering irons, heat guns, silicone mats and resin moulds, plus a growing range of budget cordless tools.

It suits a wide spread of people. There are 20W and 40W mini guns for kids' projects and card-making, rechargeable cordless guns for quick fixes around the house, and 100W to 400W professional guns for upholstery, packaging or bigger builds. Many guns come as kits with sticks, nozzles and a carry bag, which saves buying the bits separately.

Beyond glue, there's a solid electronics and metalwork corner with soldering irons, digital soldering stations, solder wire, solder pots and small melting furnaces. Resin crafters will find silicone moulds for coasters, dice and jewellery, plus clear non-stick mats that protect the table. The newer tool section covers cordless drills, angle grinders, jigsaws, paint sprayers, toolboxes and garage shelving, mostly at budget prices and with some batteries designed to fit Makita or DeWalt tools. GlueTech says its products are CE marked, and it also offers wholesale prices to businesses that buy in bulk.

What's worth a look

A mix of glue guns, craft accessories and one of the newer tool kits, all with current sale prices.

For everyday crafting, the rechargeable mini glue gun charges by USB-C, so there's no trailing cable while you work. If you need more heat and control, the 120W professional gun has an adjustable thermostat and comes with ten sticks. Check the stick size before you stock up, as mini guns take 7mm sticks and full-size guns take 11mm.
