The Liverpool Pass is a digital sightseeing pass from a Liverpool-based company that bundles six of the city's main paid attractions into one QR code. It suits first-time visitors, Beatles and football fans, and families planning a full day or two of sightseeing, especially if you'd rather not buy six tickets separately.

There are two versions. The 24-hour pass costs £64.99 for an adult and the 48-hour pass £84.99. The clock starts at your first scan, not when you buy, so you can sort it out before you travel. You can add the pass to Apple or Google Wallet, or print it at home.

What's worth a look

These are the six attractions the pass covers, each with its own page of opening times and visiting tips.

Many visitors start with The Beatles Story at the Royal Albert Dock. It has recreations of the Cavern Club and Abbey Road Studios and free audio guides in 12 languages, and the operator suggests allowing about one to one and a half hours. Strawberry Field continues the Lennon story with an exhibition and gardens, including the piano he used to compose Imagine.

Note that the LFC entry covers the museum and Boom Room exhibition, not the stadium tour. The City Explorer bus ticket is valid for 24 hours from your first ride, as long as that first ride falls within your pass period.

Timing matters with a pass like this. A 48-hour pass first scanned at 10am on a Monday runs until 10am on Wednesday. The operator suggests allowing at least 75 minutes for the British Music Experience, and the full City Explorer loop takes about an hour if you stay on board. Some attractions issue their own paper ticket, such as the bus, but you still need your QR code for everywhere else.

Current offers

We don't have any Liverpool Pass discount codes on file yet. The pass itself is the saving. The operator says that if you visit all six attractions on a 1-day pass, you save around £30 per adult, £61 for a couple and £97 for a family of two adults and two children, compared with separate tickets. It's also clear that visiting fewer attractions saves less, or nothing.

Pass holders also get extras at partner venues, including 20% off food at The Long Shot on the Royal Albert Dock, 20% off food and drinks at Bread Street Kitchen & Bar, 15% off merchandise at the Tourist Information Centre and 10% off original art at Dot-Art Gallery.

How to save more

  • Plan your route so you can fit in all six. The operator's sample day starts with the bus at 9:30am and ends with the 50-minute river cruise.
  • Choose the 48-hour pass if you're staying overnight. It costs £20 more and lets you split the attractions over two days at an easier pace.
  • Groups of more than 20 can email the team to ask about group rates. There are no student or senior concessions.
