SKN TO SKN was started by Sara Stokes, a former music industry executive, after she struggled with her skin during her first pregnancy. She found it hard to tell which products suited that stage of life. The brand is registered in London and sells through its own website, delivering to the UK and Ireland. It's aimed at women in pregnancy, new motherhood and beyond, but the range works just as well for anyone who wants a short, fragrance-free routine.

The brand says its formulas leave out ingredients including retinoids, salicylic acid, essential oils, chemical sunscreens and fragrance. It names a consultant dermatologist and a GP on its advisory board. If you're pregnant or have a skin condition, it's still worth checking any new product with your midwife, GP or pharmacist.

What's worth a look

There are only four core products, so the whole range fits in one list, along with two ways to buy them.

The Sleep Cheat Night Cream (£30 for 30ml) lists hyaluronic acid, ceramides and ectoin among its ingredients. The Glow & Go Daily Moisturiser has a mineral SPF 30 based on zinc oxide and comes in light and deep tints. If you want all three daytime and night-time products, The Hero Edit bundles the serum, SPF moisturiser and night cream for £95. That's £95 for products that cost £95 separately, so the real benefit is clearing the £60 free-delivery threshold.

The Balancing Act cleanser starts as a gel and turns into an oil as you massage it in, and it's made with maracuja and jojoba oils. The Multi-Tasking Face Serum combines peptides, hyaluronic acid and purslane extract. Everything comes in a 30ml size apart from the 100ml cleanser, so a full routine doesn't take up much space in the bathroom cabinet.

How to save more

• Buy the £5 sample set before committing to full sizes. Opened products can't be returned for hygiene reasons.
• Only use auto-replenish for products you get through regularly. The 15% saving applies to every delivery, so it adds up over a year.
• Order before 2pm for same-day dispatch. If you change your mind, email within two hours of ordering to cancel.
