About Chums
Chums is a family-run home shopping company based on Knowsley Business Park in Liverpool. Graham Rubin started it in 1981 selling men's trousers, drawing on his years in trouser manufacturing, and his sons Adam and Josh now work in the business, which employs around 200 people and runs from an 80,000 square foot unit. It still sends out a printed catalogue alongside the website.
The range has grown well beyond trousers. There are men's shirts, knitwear, coats and casual trousers from names such as Farah, Tootal, Double Two and Pegasus, ladieswear including blouses and jackets, and comfort footwear from Skechers, Cushion Walk, Dr Keller, Amber and Doreen. Beyond clothing it sells bedding from Silentnight, Christy and Belledorm, cookware and small electricals, gifts, and a mobility section with everyday living aids.
Chums suits shoppers after practical, classic clothing in a wide spread of sizes, and anyone buying mobility products: items marked "without VAT" can be bought VAT-free by people eligible for VAT relief because of a chronic illness or disability. It delivers to UK addresses only, mostly by Evri, with free standard delivery on orders of £50 or more and free returns within 30 days.
