About Clarks
Clarks is a British shoemaker based in Street, Somerset, where the business began in 1825. Cyrus Clark started with sheepskin rugs, and his brother James soon used the offcuts to make slippers, which led to the company trading as C. & J. Clark. It stayed under Clark family control for almost two centuries until a Hong Kong investor took over in 2020; Viva China Holdings now owns it.
The range covers women's, men's and children's shoes, boots and sandals, plus bags, socks and shoe care. Clarks is known for its Originals line, including the Desert Boot and Wallabee, and for children's school shoes. Its site also stocks partner brands and some beauty lines.
Clarks has full-price and outlet shops across the UK, and many offer in-store foot measuring and booked kids' fittings. Online orders can be collected free from any full-price Clarks shop, and unworn items can be returned there within 28 days. Standard home delivery is free on orders over £75, and next-day delivery is available seven days a week.
