About Click & Grow
Click & Grow is an Estonian company that makes indoor smart gardens. It was founded in 2009 by Mattias Lepp, grew through a series of Kickstarter campaigns for its herb gardens, and works from Tallinn and Tartu. IKEA's parent group Ingka invested in the business in 2018.
The idea is similar to a coffee pod machine. Each garden has a built-in grow light and a water tank, and you drop in biodegradable plant pods that already contain seeds and nutrients. The UK range runs from the three-pod Smart Garden 3 to the Smart Garden 9 and the larger Click & Grow 25 and Smart Garden 27. There are more than 75 pod varieties, including basil, mint, salad leaves, chillies, flowers and wild strawberries, plus seedless pods for your own seeds.
The UK shop prices everything in pounds and offers free delivery on orders over £150. Gardens carry a two-year warranty, and pods that fail to sprout within three weeks can be replaced. There is a 14-day money-back guarantee, with full refunds up to 30 days for unused items.
